A little about me…

About Geisha Rene

Hi, I’m Geisha Rene—a former professional dancer turned fitness coach, and most importantly, a mom who understands exactly what it feels like to lose yourself in the chaos of motherhood. I know what it’s like to wake up one day and not recognize the woman in the mirror, to feel overwhelmed, stuck, and unsure how to start taking care of yourself again. But I’m here to tell you: change is possible, and you’re not alone.

Dancing Through Life—Until Everything Changed

For as long as I can remember, dance was my world. It was where I felt free, confident, and alive. I spent years performing professionally, and when my dance career ended, I channeled that passion into fitness. I became a certified personal trainer, helping women lose weight, build confidence, and feel unstoppable in their own skin.

But nothing could have prepared me for the whirlwind of motherhood. When my son was born, I thought I’d finally found my happily ever after. Instead, just six weeks later, my world shattered. I went through a messy divorce, losing not only my marriage but also the career and life I’d built in Bermuda.

With my newborn son in my arms, I packed up what little I had left and moved back to Canada to start over. I was broken—emotionally, financially, and physically.

The Weight of Motherhood

The first five years of my son’s life were the hardest of mine. Between raising him on my own and trying to rebuild my life from the ground up, I lost myself completely. The confident, passionate woman I used to be felt like a distant memory. I gained weight—over 200 pounds by the end of 2023—and every time I tried to get back into fitness, I’d stop almost as soon as I started.

I was so overwhelmed. The workouts that used to light me up now felt impossible. I didn’t have hours to spend at the gym or the energy to tackle complicated routines. I felt like I was failing—not just myself, but my son.

The Moment Everything Changed

At the start of 2024, I hit my breaking point. I realized that waiting for the perfect moment to start was keeping me stuck. I didn’t need perfection—I just needed progress, no matter how small.

So, I started a simple challenge: just 10 minutes of movement a day. That was it. No pressure. No guilt. Just small, manageable steps toward feeling better.

What started as a small commitment turned into a life-changing transformation. In one year, I lost over 50 pounds, but more importantly, I found me again. I felt stronger, happier, and more confident than I had in years.

Why I Created Hypilates

You deserve to feel good in your body. You deserve to feel strong, confident, and capable. You deserve to show your kids what it looks like to prioritize yourself—not because it’s easy, but because it’s worth it.

If you’re ready to start showing up for yourself in a way that feels manageable, realistic, and good, I’m here for you. Hypilates is more than a workout; it’s a lifeline. It’s your permission slip to take care of you.
